Job summary

USA Clinics Group seeks a Medical Assistant for a float role across the Bronx/Yonkers clinics. This full-time position requires flexibility to work 7am–7pm and weekends, and candidates must be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistants fluent in Spanish and English.

You will perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, vital signs, and patient rooming using EMR/EHR systems, delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
