Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a seamless guest experience, acting as receptionist and performing clinical duties.

Requirements include 1 year MA experience (preferably in primary care), graduation from MA program, CPR/BLS, and bilingual English/Spanish or English/Burmese preferred. The role supports a unionized workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Burmese preferred.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are stocked and clean.
• Review prior medical information and gather updates for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, assist with procedures; coordinate with labs as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and other coordination.
• Document data accurately in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
