Job description

Position Summary: We are currently hiring a bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice.
Key Duties:
  • Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
  • Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
  • Completes referrals and discharges patients.
  • Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
  • Assist provider with treatments
  • Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually); Maximum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually); Additional $1,500/annum in differential pay. Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule: Onsite in the Bronx, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. As a full time associate at Urban Health Plan, you'll enjoy:
