Team1Medical is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant for a Cardiovascular clinic in Houston, TX. The role involves rooming patients, taking vitals, charting with the provider using the EMR, and supporting the care team.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, documenting encounters, ensuring accurate entry of histories and treatment plans, assisting with forms, managing patient flow, and handling calls.

Formación

• One (1) year or more of Medical Assistant experience within a cardiology clinic.
• Knowledge of cardiology, including medical terminology, cardiac anatomy, and common cardiac medications.
• Must be proficient in performing EKGs
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with eCW is a strong plus.
• Must have completed High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and room patients upon arrival for examination preparation.
• Document patient encounters in real-time alongside the provider using the EMR system.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of medical documentation, histories, and treatment plans.
• Assist patients with completing forms and updating medical records as needed.
• Monitor patient flow and notify providers of patient arrival to maintain efficient scheduling.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
