Job summary

Florida Urology Partners, LLC on Davis Islands in Tampa is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced urology team. The role supports patient flow, vitals, and charting while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment. Prior MA experience is preferred, and Epic experience is a plus within a partner hospital network.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, and document vitals in the chart.
• Give instructions to patients as directed by physician or physician assistant.
• Ensure reports, labs and information are filed in patients' records prior to appointments.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with supplies and maintain instruments and sterilization.
• Take telephone messages and provide feedback to patients and staff.
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians.
• Maintain logs (refrigerator temperatures, medications, oxygen, etc.).
• Epic experience is beneficial.

Job Summary:

Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart

• Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available inpatients' medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
• Epic experience is always beneficial
• Bilingual English/Spanish required

Requirements

We seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely matter with patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. We are looking for a team player that can help out with a smile on their face.

Clinical duties: Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
