Job summary

Clinica is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and ensure smooth patient flow in a patient‑centered team. You will open labs, prepare rooms, take vitals, perform basic lab tasks, and help manage schedules and documentation.

Two years of MA experience and formal MA training are preferred. The role offers bilingual collaboration with English and Spanish speakers, competitive hourly compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with hands‑on externship experience (≥100 hours).
• Two years of recent Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Maintain professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Willingness to multitask and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with providers to anticipate needs and save time.
• Open the lab, prepare rooms, print schedules and huddle with providers in the morning.
• Assist patients to the treatment room, take vitals, and document reason for visit.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and other basic lab tests.
• Prepare exam rooms for procedures and manage patient flow.
• Process orders, prior authorizations, scheduling, lab results, and medication refills.
• Close the pod labs and sterilize rooms/instruments at end of day.

• Pay or shift range: $22 USD to $28 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

What You Get to Do:

Compensation: All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity. Clinica will also pay any fees associated with receiving your Medical Assistant certification.

Certified Medical Assistant: $22.66 - $28.70 per hour

Uncertified/No Diploma Medical Assistant: $22.05 - $27.93 per hour

What We Need for this Job:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands‑on externship experience.
• Two (2+) years recent experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of school
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients. Always be respectful.
• Strong communication skills – proactively ask for help, etc.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
