Job summary

Clinica is hiring a Medical Assistant in Boulder, CO to support clinicians, manage patient flow, and assist with basic lab tasks. You will open labs, prep rooms, and coordinate with providers to ensure smooth patient care delivery.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish capabilities, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic setting. A supportive team and patient-centered approach define Clinica’s workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical providers to meet patient care goals.

Help the clinic run smoothly and take care of patient needs by assisting the medical providers. Be part of a patient centered team that provide pro-active clinical support while assisting the clinician in meeting patient care follow-up, exam room set up and meeting organizational goals.

What You Get to Do:

• You will build relationship with the provider to anticipate their needs to save time.
• You will open the lab for your team, prepare rooms for patients, print out the schedule and huddle with providers in the morning.
• You will take patients to the treatment room, get their vitals and reason for the appointment.
• You will perform blood draws, injections, and other lab tests.
• You will prepare rooms for procedures.
• You will process prior authorizations, medial assistant orders, scheduling patients, lab results, medication refills, and stock patient rooms.
• At the end of the day, you will close the pod labs, sterilize the rooms and instruments, and prepare for the next day.
• You get to serve your community – you are here for the patients, and they are very grateful.

Compensation

All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate's experience and internal equity. Clinica will also pay any fees associated with receiving your Medical Assistant certification.

Certified Medical Assistant: $22.66 - $28.70 per hour

Uncertified/No Diploma Medical Assistant: $22.05 - $27.93 per hour

What We Need for this Job:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands-on externship experience.
  • Two (2+) years recent experience a Medical Assistant in lieu of school
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients. Always be respectful.
• Strong communication skills – proactively ask for help, etc.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
