We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Woodlands Primary Healthcare. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to ensure efficient patient care in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.

Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians during procedures.

Administer medications/vaccinations as directed and perform basic lab tests (e.g., blood draws, EKGs).

Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and post-visit care.

Administrative Duties:

Schedule appointments, manage patient check-in/out, and verify insurance coverage.

Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.

Answer patient inquiries via phone/email and coordinate referrals.

Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in a clinical setting (primary care preferred).

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.

Excellent communication skills and compassion for diverse patient populations.

Bilingual Spanish is a must
