Job summary

Addison Group is hiring a Bilingual Medical Assistant for a growing primary care organization in Fort Worth, TX. You will provide clinical and patient-care support in a busy practice, including patient education, care coordination, follow-up, and effective communication with the clinical team.

The ideal candidate is bilingual, has experience as a Medical Assistant, and is comfortable working with older adults, documenting visits and coordinating tests and referrals in the EHR.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual required to communicate with diverse patient population.
  • 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working with geriatric or senior patient populations is a plus.
  • Experience within primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a similar outpatient setting preferred.
  • Comfortable using electronic health records and learning new clinical systems.
  • Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative clinical team.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and update patient medical histories and relevant health information
  • Document the patient's primary reason for the visit and any recent changes in overall health
  • Support preventive care initiatives and assist with closing outstanding care gaps
  • Review provider instructions and next steps with patients following appointments
  • Help patients understand referral information and follow-up requirements
  • Communicate routine lab and diagnostic results within established clinical guidelines and elevate concerns to the appropriate provider
  • Assist with remote patient monitoring activities and ongoing care coordination
  • Reinforce provider recommendations and help patients understand their established care plans
  • Respond promptly to patient calls, messages, and clinical questions within the MA's scope
  • Coordinate with other Medical Assistants and multidisciplinary care teams to maintain continuity of care
  • Document patient interactions and clinical information accurately within the electronic health record
  • Provide additional clinical support as needed to maintain efficient daily patient flow

Job Description

The Bilingual Medical Assistant will provide clinical and patient-care support within a busy primary care environment.
