We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings including inpatient clinics and hospital medicine This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology patient care and administrative support As a Medical Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive high quality care while assisting healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories
• Assist with medication administration and ensure proper handling of medications
• Support healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems
• Conduct basic life support as needed and respond to emergencies
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns
• Assist in coding diagnoses using ICD coding for billing purposes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as inpatient care
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical setting clinic experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with internal medicine is a plus
• Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are advantageous
