JHCP is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide high-quality care at our East Baltimore Medical Center Pediatrics Practice. In partnership with Baltimore Medical System, a local health system, the Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains inventory, ensures safe patient flow, tracks referrals and lab tests, facilitates transitions of care, organizes the practice environment to ensure safety and quality, and contributes to HEDIS and other quality measures.

Location: 1000 E. Eager St., Baltimore, MD 21202

Shift: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required, with certification from AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA, NCMA, RCMAS, or CCMA. Certification exam within 3 months of hire. Relevant MA experience may substitute formal training if eligible for RMA exam. Valid CPR certification required upon hire and every two years.
• If bilingual, must pass the designated language assessment prior to employment. All training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in the non-English language with LEP patients and families.
• Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum $17.82/hour - Maximum $29.43/hour, commensurate with experience and role scope.
