Wheeler Health seeks a Bilingual MDFT Clinician to provide intensive in-home therapy for adolescents with substance use and behavioral issues, while pursuing MDFT certification and licensure hours. The role supports families across in-home, school, and community settings in Connecticut.

The position offers hybrid work with remote and in-home sessions, salary around $62,000 plus a bilingual stipend, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Licensure in LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist, or license eligible.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel in the community.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical documentation.
• Triage for clinical emergencies and follow safety plan.
• Collaborate with internal and external providers.
• Meet with families as per MDFT model expectations.
• Provide services in office, remotely and in-home/community sites.
• May transport clients to appointments or linkages.
• Work in a team to provide wraparound clinical and case management services.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support families in crisis.

Position Summary

The Bilingual Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy Clinician provides model adherent intensive in-home clinical treatment to adolescents with substance abuse and delinquent behaviors and their families. The Bilingual MDFT Clinician will go through the MDFT certification process, obtain licensure clinical and supervision hours and obtain experience in the adolescent, parent and family clinical realm.

• Please note: The Bilingual MDFT Clinician could also provide support through the MDFT-OUD model of care and would receive information and training on providing clinical support with the individuals and families in the program. The Multidimensional Family Therapy-Opioid Use Disorder (MDFT-OUD) program is an innovative and evidence-based, intensive in-home treatment program for adolescents and young adults, ages 12-21, presenting with opioid use disorder, complex behavioral health, or social and emotional challenges.
• Bilingual Required - Must be able to speak Spanish and English.

Salary $62,000

Bilingual Stipend - $4,576 (annual, paid out throughout the year)

Education And Experience/Qualifications

• Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work and Doctorate in Psychology.
• Credential(s) Required: Must be licensed or license eligible LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist. If you are a MSW, a LMSW (permit or license) or LCSW will be required to begin employment.
• Valid Drivers License is required. Safely operates vehicle in the community, based on program needs.

LOCATION

Waterbury, New Haven and New Britain. Position is currently being offered as a hybrid schedule with remote and in-home sessions
