Job Description

Under the leadership of the Superintendent of Maintenance, the Bilingual Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance employees and resources to support the manufacturing operations. Key elements include safety, electro-mechanical skills, GMP standards, problem-solving, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

1. Job Hazard Analysis and safety compliance
2. Purchase of spare parts using the PO system
3. Perform mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, and rigging duties
4. Train personnel in safety and operational techniques
5. Execute maintenance plans according to schedule
6. Prioritize shift work and assign resources effectively
7. Ensure safety compliance with regulations
8. Provide resources and training for safe work practices
9. Identify and eliminate hazards related to environment, safety, and GMP
10. Address employee concerns and maintain morale
11. Develop employee proficiency and improve maintenance performance
12. Recognize and reinforce good performance and safety
13. Maintain discipline and document behaviors
14. Develop maintenance employees and engage in training
15. Manage employee performance and development
16. Apply troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis
17. Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise for maintenance
18. Collaborate on equipment improvements for safety and efficiency
19. Follow corporate policies and standards
20. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and inspections
21. Prepare and submit reports and achieve KPIs
22. Work from prints, diagrams, and instructions; obtain materials for repairs
23. Maintain documentation and suggest cost-saving ideas
24. Perform other duties as assigned
25. Work any shift, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma required; Bachelor's in operations or engineering preferred, or relevant experience.

Experience: 5-7 years in technical maintenance, preferably in food packaging or safety, with supervisory experience.

Skills: PC literacy, MS Office, CMMS, Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally. Prolonged standing, bending, and working at heights, indoors and outdoors. Exposure to chemicals and noise.

Bilingual in Spanish and English. Good listening and public speaking skills. Strong organizational, decision-making, and multi-tasking abilities.
