Job summary

Speak is building a human-level, AI-powered tutor for language learning and seeks a multilingual localizer and writer fluent in Simplified Chinese and English, with deep Korean insight, to localize in-app content for the Korean market and create Chinese content for Korean learners.

You'll translate and polish learning materials, design and write in-app content, and support content projects while collaborating with an international team.

Qualifications

• Native Simplified Chinese and native or near-native English writing and speaking skills.
• Deep understanding of both languages and the status quo of Simplified Chinese learning in Korea.
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in Korean-Simplified Chinese translation and localization.
• Experience in Simplified Chinese teaching, language pedagogy, or curriculum design.
• Great attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and agency.
• Passion for technology-assisted language learning and willingness to use advanced technologies for work.
• Working proficiency in English.
• A fast learner, team player, skilled communicator, and creative problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Content translation and localization for in-app learning and marketing content for Korean learners of Chinese.
• Iterate and polish translated content based on QA tasks to optimize learning experience for Korean learners of Chinese.
• Design and write in-app learning materials (lesson scripts, activities, vocabulary) for Korean learners of Simplified Chinese, under manager guidance.
• Support operation of content-related projects, including uploading scripts, QAing lessons, and coordinating pieces under manager guidance.
• Communicate and collaborate with international team members, receiving directions from the manager and executing them end-to-end.
