Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Labor & Employment Litigation team in the Los Angeles office. This role requires Korean language proficiency to support a diverse client base and documents.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of paralegal experience in litigation, strong document translation skills, and proficiency with PACER/ECF. Proactive organization, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law.
• Korean language proficiency (written and verbal).
• Experience with federal/state court filing procedures and PACER/ECF.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of labor and employment litigation, including pleadings and discovery.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel, including Korean-speaking individuals.
• Review, translate, and manage Korean-language documents and records.
• Prepare and file documents with courts and agencies via PACER/ECF.
• Assist with wage/hour claims, discrimination, harassment, and class/PAGA actions.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines; track discovery materials.
• Support negotiations, arbitration panels, and trial preparation.
