Job summary

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is hiring part-time Lifeguards in Boulder, CO to monitor pool safety and assist members. The role includes a +10% bilingual differential for staff fluent in Spanish and English, if applicable.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe pool operations, maintaining water quality, and providing a welcoming environment for all swimmers while adhering to certifications and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old (15-year-olds may apply as Junior Lifeguard).
• Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, Emergency Oxygen and CPR-PR certifications.
• Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful. Blood Borne Pathogens training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for safety and wellbeing of members and guests around the pool and hot tub.
• Ensure safety of participants while in or near the pool area.
• Maintain pool cleanliness, test water, and solve related issues.
• Relate positively to staff, members, program participants and children.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, AED, CPR-PR Certifications
