Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is expanding its virtual behavioral healthcare services across Illinois. We seek a Licensed Mental Health Therapist who can provide trauma-informed care remotely to children, teens, and families, with emphasis on Spanish-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care via telehealth to individuals, families, and groups.
• Conduct clinical intakes and assessments and develop client-centered treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of 15–36 sessions per week and maintain timely documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other team members.
• Deliver culturally responsive care in English and Spanish when possible.

What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you’ll provide compassionate, trauma-informed care through telehealth while partnering with families to support meaningful, lasting change.

You’ll manage a caseload of 15–36 sessions per week, with the flexibility to choose part-time or full-time.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Conducting clinical intakes and assessments
• Developing client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
• Providing individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth
• Collaborating with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
• Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
• Providing family education and care coordination
• Delivering culturally responsive care that recognizes each family’s unique needs and experiences

Scheduling

Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2:00–9:00 PM EST. Weekend availability is a plus.

Required

• Active Illinois license: LPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families

• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency
