Job summary

Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte seeks a professionally licensed mental health counselor to provide counseling services to participants in accordance with agency policy and professional criteria. The role includes managing a caseload and maintaining licensure, with travel to sites in Charlotte, Winton-Salem, and Salisbury.

The ideal candidate will hold a current NC license (LCMHC/LCMHCA/LCSW/LMFT/LPA) and be bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong documentation and collaboration

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NC professional license as one of the following: LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LMFT or LPA.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to interact with clients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional mental health counseling within agency standards and licensure requirements; complete intakes, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly.
• Perform caseload management and maintain productivity according to agency metrics.
• Participate in supervision, case conferences, and staff meetings; contribute to best practices and compliance with licensure standards.
• Maintain ongoing licensure and professional development; complete HIPAA and security trainings as required.
• Develop and lead community education or therapy groups as directed.
• Travel to multiple sites as part of the role.
