Oasis Legal Services seeks a courageous advocate to represent low-income LGBTQ+ clients seeking safety in the United States. The attorney will work in a diverse caseload, communicating complex legal topics to clients in Spanish and English without an interpreter, and supervising interns as needed.

The role includes representation in affirmative asylum and related proceedings, client interviews, evidence gathering, and managing deadlines for up to 15 active cases.

Competenze

• J.D. degree and active bar in the United States.
• Experience providing immigration legal services.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish without an interpreter.

Mansioni

• Represent LGBTQ+ immigrants in affirmative immigration proceedings (USCIS, SIJS, VA WA, asylum, etc.).
• Interview clients, explain complex legal concepts in English and Spanish.
• Gather facts, prepare forms, maintain case records and deadlines.
• Supervise interns and volunteers, coordinating team efforts and training.
