Job summary

A Greater Hope is seeking a Bilingual Lead Teacher to develop and supervise high-quality educational programming for unaccompanied children funded by ORR.

Under general supervision, the role provides instructional leadership, mentors staff, ensures trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, and aligns activities with ORR, federal, and state standards. Bilingual Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience teaching children or youth in residential/trauma-informed settings is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise educational programs for unaccompanied children.
• Ensure trauma-informed, culturally responsive instruction aligned to standards.
• Mentor co-teachers, aides, and volunteers; evaluate staff performance.
• Coordinate with case management and clinical teams to support well-being.
• Maintain records, IEPs where applicable, and required reports.
• Adhere to HIPAA, licensing, and ORR requirements; support family engagement.
