Job summary

TrueCare in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to supervise clinic staff, ensure smooth workflow, and support a licensed care practitioner. This role blends clinical and administrative tasks.

You will back up Vaccine Coordinator, train new staff, and cover other clinics as needed. Must have MA program graduate, 3 years MA experience, EHR experience, and be willing to rotate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Three or more years of Medical Assistant experience.
• One year of experience with documentation in an EHR system.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, lab procedures, and clinic workflow.
• Must be willing to drive to cover another clinic in San Marcos and have a valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and delegate roles of clinic Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists.
• Ensure clinical floor flows smoothly and supervise administrative tasks.
• Act as advocate for Medical Assistants regarding responsibilities and workflow improvements.

Your Role & Impact

The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for managing and delegating roles and responsibilities of the clinic’s Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists, ensuring the clinical floor flows properly, and performing clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a licensed care practitioner. Serve as an advocate for the Medical Assistants on site as it related to job responsibilities and workflow improvements. The Lead Medical Assistant serves as a backup to Vaccine Coordinator on site and utilizes clinical skills to assist in training new and existing Medical.

What We’re Looking For: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when needed between 8am and 6pm, and rotating Saturday's a must!

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Three (3) years’ Medical Assistant experience.
• One (1) year experience with documentation in an EHR system.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical laboratory procedures and healthcare operations and workflow.
• Will be required to drive to cover another clinic in San Marcos as needed. Must have a current CA Driver's License for at least 3 years, have current insurance, and a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years of age to meet this driving requirement.
• Bonus points if you’re bilingual (English/Spanish) or have community clinic experience!

The pay range for this role is $27.83 to 38.96 on an hourly basis.
