Job summary

Johnson County Clin Trials (JCCT) seeks a Bilingual Lab Technician to perform PBMC processing under the Lab Manager's supervision. You will follow lab policies, ensure accurate data reporting, and support specimen processing and study procedures.

The role requires bilingual capabilities, strong attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a lab team. Associate degree in science and 2+ years in a lab setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in science or related discipline.
• 2+ years of work experience in a laboratory or similar environment.
• Familiarity with clinical trial management system software.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks assigned to Lab Department as needed.
• Receive and prepare samples for analysis and processing.
• Ensure correct samples are collected for each subject visit.
• Verify requisitions and specimen documentation for accuracy.
• Record and verify volunteer specimen details.
• Inspect specimens for adequacy and suitability.
• Enter specimen data electronically.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and sanitize as required.
• Label and prepare specimen aliquots.
• Centrifuge specimens and transfer samples accordingly.
• Dispose of specimens per study sponsor directions.
• Collaborate with Lab Support Specialist to ship specimens to reference lab.
• Assist phlebotomists with specimen requirements and turnaround times.
• Assist in restocking expired supplies and disposal.
• Review protocols for study-related specimens.
• Comply with SOPs, safety, and quality procedures.
• Support lab efficiency and cooperation initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
