Job summary

Acquire4Hire LLC is seeking a motivated bilingual teacher for its Arlington Early Steps Bilingual Preschool program. This role offers an opportunity to work with families who value bilingual education in NoVA and DC metro area.

The teacher will create engaging environments, maintain portfolios, communicate with families daily, and mentor assistants while aligning with the program's philosophy. Arlington presence required and licensing standards observed.

Qualifications

• Must pass State of Virginia background checks.
• FBI fingerprinting and background investigation.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend and stack school supplies as needed.
• Ability to supervise children and lead activities in groups.
• Flexibility in working with teachers and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Setting teaching environments and upkeep of equipment; mentor/train assistant teachers.
• Maintain student portfolios, conferences, assessments, and daily communications with families.
• Attend training seminars to maintain knowledge of child care advances; minimum 30 training hours per year and continued CDA certifications.
• Communicate effectively with families and staff both orally and in writing.
• Plan monthly lessons using Learning Through Play Curriculum and individualized planning.
• Document all accidents/incidents and health/bahavior logs daily.
• Hold twice-yearly parent-teacher conferences; attend monthly staff meetings; maintain licensing requirements.
