Qualifications

• Knowledge of subjects and languages assigned.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual French or Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum and campus framework.
• Plan with partner teachers to meet instructional framework and dual language model.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials for diverse student needs.
• Use data to plan instructional activities and accommodate individual needs (e.g., bilingual/ESL, IEP).
• Assess student learning styles and adjust activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Determine instructional goals with staff and follow district requirements.
• Implement the dual language program model and language acquisition framework.
• Maintain records on language acquisition and accommodations.
• Participate in extended day/year programs as assigned.
• Supervise teacher aides/volunteers.
• Incorporate technology to enhance learning.
