Job summary

Cesar Chavez Foundation in Fresno is seeking Bilingual (In-Spanish) Elementary and Secondary Teachers for 1st-8th grade in a Migrant Education Program. Sessions will be conducted virtually via Zoom, with ready-to-use Engaging Hearts & Minds lesson plans for fall and spring terms.

Ideal candidates hold a CA Teaching Credential (Multiple or Single Subject) and a bilingual authorization is preferred. Experience with literacy, math, and accommodations for student success is required; MS Office,

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree with a valid CA Teaching Credential
• Possession of a valid California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential
• Bilingual Authorization in Education preferred
• Fingerprints, CPR, and TB clearance must be met before assignment
• Applicants must be available to teach for the duration of the program
• Experience teaching literacy, math, and providing accommodations to ensure student success
• Experience engaging and motivating students in a classroom
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel), Google, and Zoom

• Maintain all ethical practices of Engaging Hearts & Minds by serving the community with integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism.
• Implement the Engaging Hearts & Minds lesson plans, schedule, and calendars.
• Ensure all instructional space and materials are organized and conducive to a learning environment.
• Set healthy goals and behavior practices.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate all program activities and trends.
• Track and submit all data and reporting in a timely manner.
• Additional tasks may be assigned.
