Job summary

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a K-2 Library Supervisor to support the daily operations of the Lower Library, serving grades K-2 and reporting to the Maternelle and Lower School Principal. Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, diverse environment.
• Strong communication with students and adults.
• Interest in learning about and supporting library services.
• Punctual, collaborative, and self-motivated.
• Prior experience with school-age children preferred.
• Proficiency in French desirable.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Teach and model exploration and appropriate use of library materials to young students during class visits.
• Foster positive relationships with students and collaborate with colleagues on behavior expectations.
• Create and maintain a vibrant, visually appealing space for discovery and use of resources.
• Provide library programming such as readings and activities.
• Foster communication between K-2 faculty and the library to identify needs.
• Independently manage check-out and return of library materials.
• Assist the librarian with loaning and recollecting materials; maintain organization.
• Meet regularly with librarians and attend meetings as directed.
• Support inclusive and welcoming library environment.
• Additional duties as assigned by Librarian or Principal.
