Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Interpreter/Translator experience in Manufacturing.
• Simultaneous Interpretation experience preferred.
• English and/or Japanese at an idiomatic level.

Responsibilities

• Written translation.
• Simultaneous interpretation.
• Consecutive interpretation.
• Whispering interpretation.
• Sight translation (read in silence and translate out loud).
• Interpretation jobs include various levels of meetings; written translation includes technical and legal documents.
• Written translation work is primarily Japanese→English; interpretation uses headsets.
• Research, meeting materials preparation, preliminary discussions, and glossary organization are included to improve performance.
