Ruddfabricationservices in Swepsonville, NC is seeking a Translator / Interpreter to handle written translation and multiple forms of interpretation (simultaneous, sequential, whispering, and sight translation) for manufacturing-related work, primarily Japanese to English.

This is a full-time, year-to-year contract with an expected start date in January 2027. Pay ranges from $30 to $38.92 per hour ($62.4K–$83.2K per year), with 40 hours per week and benefits including insurance, PTO, and a 401K.

Qualifikationen

• 2-3 years of Interpreter/Translator experience in Manufacturing industry.
• Simultaneous Interpretation experience preferred.
• English and/or Japanese at an idiomatic level.

Aufgaben

• Written translation of documents and materials.
• Simultaneous interpretation during meetings and conferences.
• Consecutive interpretation for ongoing discussions.
• Whispering interpretation for smaller groups or individuals.
• Sight translation of documents read aloud after silent translation.
• Research, meeting materials preparation, preliminary discussions, and glossary organization to improve performance.

Pay: $30-$38.92/hour ( $62.4K-$83.2K/year)

Hiring: Full-time (Year to year contract. Expected to last for more than one year. The end date is currently undetermined.)

Estimated Start date: January 2027

Work Hours: 40h/week (Must be able to be flexible regarding start and end time of work depends on the needs)

Job Description

• Written translation

• Whispering interpretation
• Sight translation (read in silence and translate out loud)
• Interpretation jobs include various levels of meetings; and written translation jobs include technical and legal documents.
• With regards to the written translation, there is more translation work from Japanese to English, versus English to Japanese. Interpretation work is usually conducted simultaneously using headsets.
• In order to improve performance, research, meeting materials preparation, preliminary discussions, and glossary organization are also included.

Requirements
