Sylvania in Texas is seeking a bilingual teacher to provide supplemental instructional services and collaborate with campus staff to address student learning needs. You will work with individuals and small groups to close learning gaps and develop lessons and materials.
The ideal candidate holds a Texas teaching certificate, bachelor’s degree, and at least three years of bilingual teaching experience, with strong abilities in assessment, communication, and classroom management.
To provide students supplemental instructional services with appropriate learning activities in targeted areas of core curriculum to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual growth. Collaborative with campus personnel to prepare lessons and instructional materials to address students' learning needs. Work with individual and small groups to provide supplemental instruction to close learning gaps.

Bachelor’s degree, a valid Texas Teaching Certificate, and 3 years of teaching experience as bilingual teacher. Previous mentoring and coaching experience. Bilingual Certification.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, administration, staff, parents, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with Bilingual endorsement
