Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a full-time Interpreter (Bilingual - Korean/English) to provide accurate simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for engineering, OEM personnel, operators, and production teams onsite.

You will translate and proofread technical materials, assist with scheduling and training, support safety communications, and help ensure clear cross‑functional collaboration across plant floors while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.

Qualifications

• Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English with strong speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to interpret accurately in real time and translate written materials between Korean and English.
• Understand and communicate technical concepts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to accuracy, neutrality, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple requests with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive, simultaneous or whispered interpretation for meetings, production-floor activities, training sessions, audits and daily operations.
• Interpret technical discussions involving equipment operation, maintenance, safety, and process changes.
• Translate and proofread technical documents, SOPs, safety materials, and training content.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing agendas, drawings, terminology, and references; seek clarification when needed.
• Support communication during urgent situations following site safety and escalation procedures.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication among employees, leadership, OEMs, vendors, and contractors.
• Protect confidential information and disclose conflicts of interest promptly.
• Identify communication gaps and recommend improvements to interpretation and scheduling processes.
• Participate in team meetings, cross-training, and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other language-support duties consistent with business needs.
