Job summary

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is seeking an Intake - Officer of the Day Specialist who is bilingual (English/Spanish) to support callers, walk-ins, and eligibility processes in the San Fernando Valley.

This full‑time, on‑site role offers hourly pay between $30.08 and $42.50, with responsibilities including gathering documentation, updating records, coordinating with DCFS referrals, and providing community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field and two years of related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist callers and walk‑ins with inquiries about applying for Lanterman Services.
• Assist families with completing an application for Lanterman eligibility by phone, email, or in‑person.
• Assist with Intake case management inquiries and gathering initial documentation.
• Obtain records and sign releases/consents.
• Provide resources available in the community.
• Update demographics in the agency system and document daily activity.
• Review DCFS portal for referrals and accuracy.
• Provide caseload coverage as needed.
• Follow‑up on uncovered caseloads and outstanding information.
• Assist with special projects and department needs.
• Perform other duties as required.
