Job summary

ALPA Insurance is hiring in Mesquite, TX for an in-office Insurance Sales Agent. You’ll help customers with new policies, policy edits, renewals, and payments, while networking to grow your client base. Training and licensing assistance are provided.

The role emphasizes customer service, a sales mindset, and the ability to work independently. A licensed background is preferred but not required, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Customer Service/Insurance Sales experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required).
• Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge with strong written, verbal, and people skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly learn company software.
• Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by ALPA) as required to maintain active license status with TDI.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with various insurance needs including new, edits, renewals, and payments.
• Inspect vehicles to determine insurance risk acceptability.
• Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking and marketing.
• Perform administrative tasks and handle policy renewals; coordinate with underwriting.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
