Job summary

Gresham-Barlow School District is seeking an Educational Assistant- Instructional Assistant (DLI) for North Gresham Elementary School. The role provides instructional support to students under licensed staff guidance and works to implement assigned programs for non-categorical students.

Positions are temporary, bilingual in English and Spanish is required, and the schedule is 5.5 hours per day for 182 days per year.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher required; two years of college (72 quarter hours) or demonstrated equivalence in reading, writing, and math instruction.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint required; First Aid/CPR
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written)

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff with instructional programs and student supervision.
• Provide tutoring and instructional support in large, small, and one-on-one settings.
• Maintain records and assist with clerical tasks and materials.
• Communicate feedback on student performance to teachers.
• Support safety and positive behavior in the school setting.

Experience with school age children

Education
