The Conroe Independent School District seeks a Bilingual Instructional Aide at Runyan Elementary to support limited English proficient students through dual-language instruction and assist the bilingual teacher in meeting affective, linguistic, and cognitive needs.

Responsibilities include supervising students, communicating with families and staff, and modeling professional behavior while promoting growth. A high school diploma and Spanish fluency are required.

Formación

• Valid Texas educational aide certificate within 30 days of employment.

POSITION TITLE: Bilingual Instructional Aide

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To facilitate and assist in providing a quality program of instruction designed to meet the affective, linguistic and cognitive needs of limited English proficient students.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist bilingual teacher in providing quality dual-language instruction for limited English proficient students.
• Support and carry out activities related to the bilingual program.
• Perform duties involving the supervision of students.
• Communicate with students, teachers, staff, and parents.
• Present a positive role model for students.
• Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.
• Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous work with children in job-related capacity or volunteer work
• Experience related to working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent. Experience may be work in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar agencies or institutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within30 days of employment)

• Fluent in Spanish
• Ability to work well with others
• Positive human relations skills
• Appreciation of and patience with children
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and in English
