Job summary

Masa in the South Bronx seeks a Bilingual Immigration Program Specialist (English/Spanish) to support Pro Se Plus Project and Welcome New York. This full-time, temporary role focuses on outreach, intake, referrals, and coordination with immigration attorneys for Pro Se applications.

The position requires fluency in English and Spanish, a BA in social work or related field, and 1+ year immigration experience. Some evenings and local travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish is required.
• B.A in social work, human services, or related field is required.
• 1+ year of immigration or legal assistant experience strongly preferred.
• Highly organized and able to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and discretion with confidential records.

Responsibilities

• Attend trainings and stay updated on immigration policies that affect our work.
• Conduct program outreach, create marketing materials, attend community events and tabling.
• Manage immigration interest forms, wait lists, and prioritize cases.
• Conduct intake assessments and immigration screenings for social services needs.
• Prioritize cases for Pro Se Application Assistance with attorneys.
