Job summary

The PCA Group of Companies is seeking a dynamic, bilingual Human Resources Specialist for its on-site HR team in Ronkonkoma, New York. This role focuses heavily on recruiting, with responsibilities spanning candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, alongside payroll/timekeeping support and general HR duties.

Ideal candidates bring HR, recruiting, payroll, or employee-support experience, strong communication skills, and comfort with confidential information.

Qualifications

• Previous Human Resources, recruiting, payroll, administrative, or employee-support experience preferred.
• Recruiting or talent-acquisition experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with payroll and/or employee timekeeping systems preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with candidates and employees at all levels of an organization.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information professionally.
• Strong follow-through and sense of urgency.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), HRIS, payroll system, or PEO platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting activities for multiple open positions simultaneously.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
• Draft and post job advertisements across appropriate recruiting platforms.
• Review resumes and applications and identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct initial telephone, virtual, and in-person candidate screenings.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Assist with offer letters, pre-employment requirements, background checks, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate candidate information within the company's applicant tracking system.
• Develop candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions.
• Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, community outreach, and other talent-acquisition initiatives.
• Help identify new recruiting sources and strategies to improve candidate quality and time-to-fill.
• Support recruitment efforts for both office and operational/warehouse positions.
• Provide bilingual recruiting and onboarding support for Spanish-speaking candidates and employees.
