Job summary

Citywide Janitorial is seeking a bilingual, part-time HR Specialist to support recruiting, onboarding, documentation, and compliance. No prior HR experience is required, but a strong educational foundation in HR or related fields is expected for recent graduates.

The role collaborates with management, handles confidential files, and supports HR projects. Expected hours are 20–25 per week with a mix of in-person and remote work, ideal for a motivated recent graduate starting a career in HR.

Qualifications

• Bilingual required; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or related field required or preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor with ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Post open positions and assist with recruiting efforts.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation.
• Ensure all required new-hire and employment documentation is completed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
• Assist with employee status changes and HR documentation.
• Track attendance and other employee-related information.
• Prepare disciplinary and employee-relations documentation as directed.
• Respond to routine HR questions and escalate when appropriate.
• Follow up with employees and managers regarding outstanding HR documents.
• Support compliance with HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Provide administrative support for other HR projects.
• Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings.
