Goodwill Central Coast is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist – Employee Relations to join our HR team in California. You will support managers across the organization, assist with investigations, ensure policy consistency, and promote a positive employee experience.

The role requires 3–5 years HR experience, strong knowledge of California employment laws, excellent communication, discretion with confidential information, and bilingual English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of HR experience, preferably in employee relations, investigations, or compliance.
• Working knowledge of California employment laws and progressive discipline.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll software (Paycom) a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist with employee relations investigations and case management.
• Review counseling statements for policy and employment law consistency.
• Maintain accurate employee relations documentation and case files.
• Prepare investigation summaries, correspondence, and reports.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on HR policies and best practices.
• Collaborate on policy improvements and compliance initiatives.
• Support organizational projects that strengthen workplace culture and employee engagement.
