Job summary

Greater Lawrence Community Action Council is seeking a Housing Specialist to help families access supportive services and develop housing plans in Lawrence, MA. The role emphasizes case management, landlord coordination, and linkage to community resources.

Responsibilities include documenting outcomes, assisting with RAFT/ESG applications, and advocating for clients with landlords and housing authorities. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; a degree in human services is expected.

Qualifications

• Preferably bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; associate degree acceptable.
• Minimum five years experience serving low-income populations; housing services preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish; strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data systems; able to manage multiple clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; transport and CORI/SORI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized housing plans and provide case management.
• Assist with housing applications, paperwork, and landlord relations.
• Maintain accurate client records and prepare program reports.
• Conduct home visits, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed.
• Refer clients to RAFT, ESG, and other housing support resources.
