Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect patients, staff, and visitors across South Florida facilities. The role emphasizes proactive patrols, access control, incident response, and collaboration with safety teams to maintain a secure hospital environment.

The position requires a High School diploma, a Florida Security License, CPI training within 90 days, and 5+ years of security experience; prior law enforcement or military background is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within first 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of security experience; prior law enforcement or military preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas; observe for conditions affecting safety of the Medical Center.
• Monitor and control entrance/exit of employees, visitors to prevent theft and hazards.
• Enforce hospital policy calmly and effectively during incidents.
• Respond to alarms and dispatches; assess situations and take appropriate action.
• Document incidents with accurate reporting; preserve scene and evidence as directed.
• Provide testimony and assist safety team in identifying and resolving hazards.
