STAR CARE is seeking a compassionate Chaplain (Bilingual) to join our hospice care team. You will provide spiritual support to patients and families during challenging times, respecting diverse beliefs and cultures. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

The role emphasizes collaboration with healthcare professionals, development of care plans, and participation in rituals as requested. A background in hospice or end-of-life care and a valid driver's license may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Experience in hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care preferred.
• Certification or training in spiritual care, chaplaincy, or related fields desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Cultural competence and respect for diverse beliefs.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families, respecting diverse faith backgrounds.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Offer counseling, prayer, and spiritual guidance tailored to patient needs.
• Facilitate religious rituals and ceremonies as appropriate.
• Support staff with spiritual care training and resources.
• Document spiritual care interventions in patient records.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospice policies.
