Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking an HIV Educator/Psychosocial Specialist to provide direct client services and psychosocial support.

The role focuses on education, stigma reduction, and connecting individuals to care within the LUCES program in Phoenix, AZ. The bilingual position requires Spanish/English proficiency, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, and the ability to navigate community resources, the Ryan White system, and local health services.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish to communicate with clients.
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and ability to educate clients about HIV/AIDS and other STIs.
• Proven organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Maricopa and Pinal Counties and drive as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct covered services and treatment to individual clients.
• Coordinate with community support and stakeholders.
• Manage appointment schedules and conduct targeted outreach to clients at risk for HIV care.
• Discuss barriers such as religion, stigma, and family dynamics affecting clients’ daily lives.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials and recruit participants for programs.
