Job summary

Innovative Network of Knowledge in Edna, TX, seeks an Early Childhood Assistant to support preschool classrooms with developmentally appropriate activities and strong safety practices.

You will assist with screenings, family engagement, and daily care while following Head Start standards. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; CDA or state credentials and ongoing education are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of CDA or state credential meeting CDA requirements.
• Prefer bilingual English/Spanish.
• Prefer two years of preschool classroom experience; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect children health and safety; no child left alone or unsupervised.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities across literacy, math, language, social, and physical development.
• Support family engagement through parent conferences, home visits, and group activities.
• Maintain child files and documentation aligned with program policy.
• Communicate observations to teachers and coordinate with education and family support staff.
