Job summary

Webb County Head Start is seeking a classroom aide to support center operations and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms, assisting with activities and decorations, and rotating to centers as needed.

The role requires verbal and written communication in English and oral Spanish, with supervision by the Area Service Manager. Pre-employment checks and county policies apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas driver’s license with reliable insured transportation required.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, MVR check, and criminal background check required.
• Not Civil Service; subject to Webb County policies and Head Start addendum.

Responsibilities

• Maintain classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
• Wash dishes and dispose of trash.
• Assist teacher with classroom activities and decorations.
• Rotate to centers as needed.
• Assist with outdoor activities and supervision.
• Communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
