Job summary

ProStaff Workforce Solutions is seeking a bilingual Handyman in Westampton Township, NJ to perform general maintenance and support warehouse operations. The role reports to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and requires hands-on mechanical skills and reliability.

The position is contract-to-hire with a pay rate of $24/hr DoE. Start at 6:00 AM; hours vary by workload. Forklift certification will be provided, and candidates should be willing to assist with shipping/receiving as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Previous handyman/maintenance experience required.
• Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Willing to support warehouse operations including shipping/receiving.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman and facility maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse.
• Complete basic repairs (carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical) and equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues to maintain operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of warehouse/work areas.
• Assemble, install, and repair shelving, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Support daily warehouse operations with shipping/receiving tasks and material handling.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed (forklift certification provided).
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.

A packaging and manufacturing company in Westampton Township, NJ is seeking a bilingual Handyman to join their team. This position will work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep while also assisting with daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, dependable, and willing to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse functions as needed.

Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $24/hr (DoE)

Work Schedule: Start time is 6:00 AM. End time varies based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman and facility maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse.
• Complete basic repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot and address facility and equipment issues to help maintain smooth operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the warehouse and work areas.
• Assemble, install, and repair shelving, fixtures, equipment, and other warehouse-related items.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Work closely with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to support daily operational needs.
• Assist with warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, staging, loading/unloading, inventory organization, and material handling.
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed (forklift certification will be provided).
• Support the team with additional tasks and projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Previous handyman, maintenance, facilities, or repair experience required.
• Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willingness to assist with warehouse operations and support the shipping and receiving team.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to learn and operate a forklift (company will provide certification).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
