Job summary

Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center (AKDHC) is seeking an ASC Bilingual Patient Care Coordinator, Front Desk at the AKDHC Biltmore Access Surgery Center in Phoenix. Under supervision, you will perform medical assistant functions and support office staff in patient care and administrative tasks.

The role requires Spanish fluency, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a busy outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or related diploma preferred.
• Spanish fluency required for frequent interaction with Spanish-speaking patients.
• 1–2 years front/back office experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform front desk and back-office patient care activities as part of a medical team.
• Schedule procedures and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring; provide patient education.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, update medication lists, and document in EMR.
• Notify physician of clinical status changes and abnormal test results.
• Process patient records, HIPAA-compliant requests, and recall/discharge processes.
• Support office personnel with clerical tasks, phone coverage, and inventory management.
