Job summary

Global Consumer Brand in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Bilingual Flagship Store Manager & Launch Project Lead to own the development, opening, and ongoing operation of a new flagship retail location in the LA area.

The role blends hands-on store-opening leadership with daily store performance, customer experience, and team development, requiring fluency in Japanese and English to bridge U.S. and Japan teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in retail management or related field.
• At least five years of retail management experience.
• At least three years of project management experience for store openings/expansions.
• Experience with budgets, schedules, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience in specialty retail or related industries preferred.
• Experience working with Japanese organizations or Japan-based teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead flagship store development from planning to grand opening.
• Coordinate site evaluation, location selection, and vendor relationships.
• Manage timelines, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Oversee daily flagship store operations and sales performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with U.S. and Japan stakeholders.
