Job summary

RiseBoro Community Partnership is seeking a Financial Coach to deliver one-on-one coaching and group workshops for the Level Up! Economic Empowerment Program in Central Brooklyn.

The role focuses on helping New Yorkers manage money, build credit, reduce debt, and increase savings through client-centered coaching and education. The Financial Coach collaborates with staff, conducts frequent meetings, and participates in AFC training and VITA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of full-time work experience, preferably in finance, financial education, counseling/coaching, or social services delivery.
• Must complete DCWP financial counselor certification (45-hour course) or hold AFC certification.
• Prior experience as a DCWP Financial Empowerment Center counselor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Case Managers, Career Coaches, and partners to help clients achieve financial goals.
• Hold a minimum of 20 client meetings per week to improve credit, reduce debt, and increase assets/savings.
• Record client data accurately in case management software.
• Lead financial coaching workshops and transition attendees to 1-on-1 sessions.
• Provide ongoing referrals to resources and adapt coaching to client needs.
