Job summary

GP Strategies Corporation seeks a Field Technical Instructor to convey complex Industrial Automation topics to learners, both in-house and on customer sites. You will maintain and grow technical product knowledge while aligning training with client needs and schedules.

You will travel extensively, deliver hands-on instruction, and mentor junior staff. The role requires a strong communicator with 5+ years in the field and proficiency in Rockwell Studio 5000 and related FactoryTalk software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial education, electrical engineering, technical instruction, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of field experience in related Industry Automation.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance-based training for customers in-house and on-site.
• Identify customer training tasks and tailor delivery.
• Maintain technical competency with course material and product knowledge.
• Maintain and upgrade instructional and product skills.
• Set up, teardown, and pack classroom equipment.
• Report issues impacting delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Engage with students to identify follow-on training opportunities.
• Mentor associates and trainees.
• Support sales activities as deemed appropriate.
