Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas in Plano, TX is seeking a Field Service Engineer to commission, service, and troubleshoot PCS, ESS and PVI systems at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and provide timely onsite and remote technical support.

Expect up to 70% travel, work with SCADA/EMS/BMS integrations, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to drive continuous product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of experience commissioning, servicing, or troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment].
• Strong understanding of three-phase power systems, AC/DC conversion, and power electronics.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and inverter systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical test equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, insulation tester, clamp meters, and power analyzers.
• Familiarity with Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, CAN, RS-485, TCP/IP networking.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with customers; travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, startup, testing, and validation of PCS, ESS, and PVI systems at customer sites.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support and respond to service requests.
• Analyze alarms, logs, and data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Configure and verify system settings and controller parameters.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Quality teams for field feedback and improvements.
• Prepare accurate service reports and commissioning documentation.
